We keep our standards high because we believe everyone deserves to have the best possible labels for their packages, products, and other needs.
One of the questions that we sometimes get asked here at LPS Labels is what it actually means to be a GMI certified printing company. To address this question, we must first explain what GMI is. The letters GMI stand for Graphic Measures International, and this designation was developed so that major manufacturers and retailers could have peace of mind that their brands were protected and that consistency would be maintained when they worked with a printing company.
The GMI process was developed to be a family of standards based off of ISO 12647 and added a scoring system for testing printing samples to ensure they fall in the required parameters– in other words, that the printing is completed without flaws each and every time.
The process to become a GMI certified printing company is quite lengthy and stringent. For example, the facility must meet GMI standards and go through a comprehensive evaluation by GMI auditors. We are also monitored on a regular basis to ensure that we are delivering consistent results and that our printed materials meet or exceed the required standards.
While not all of our customers expect the level of quality that we deliver as a GMI certified printing company, we keep our standards high because we believe everyone deserves to have the best possible labels for their packages, products, and other needs. Whether you need food & beverage labels, household product labels, barcode labels, or something else, turn to us for unrivalled consistent quality. With competitive prices, exceptional personal service, and excellent results, nothing equals our GMI certified printing services.
